IVY is a pretty, female Great Pyrenees, approximately 3 yrs old.  Ivy comes to us from Multnomah Co. Animal Services where she was received as a stray, in a neglected state, with a flea infestation and skin condition.  MCAS had her spayed, and treated her skin condition.   Ivy did well with all aspects of their behavior test and found that she would make a good candidate for Great Pyrenees rescue.  Ivy gets along with people, kids and is playful with other dogs.  She did well on the car ride, sniffing the crack in the window and checking out the scenery.  Ivy is curious and loves to use her nose, so tracking or sniff work might be fun with Ivy.  She will make a loving, fun family member and deserves to find her forever family.

ANDY (all white) and PANDA (black & white)* are two of the sweetest, 4 yr old male Great Pyrenees brothers.  They come from a neglectful situation, and were fortunately rescued by a caring woman who took them in, groomed them and took care of their immediate vet care needs.  Andy and Panda have been with farm animals, are great with people, other dogs, and are house broken.   They’ve been together their whole lives and they get along wonderfully.   Their caregiver says, “They are incredible.  I just adore them!”.   Bring these boys home together and double the love.

*Panda is scheduled for knee surgery shortly and will only be available once the surgery and recovery are complete, unless we find that unique person, or family, who would love to help Panda recover in a home surrounded by his forever family.

SOPHIE is a playful, loving, 4 yr old female Great Pyrenees. She comes to us after being used to breed, then dumped from home to home, through no fault of her own.  This girl is full of life and is thrilled meeting new people.  She needs a bit of manners training as she just can’t help but jump up to give kisses.  Sophie gets along with other dogs, cats and is housebroken.  Sophie is such an affectionate love bug, who will lean in for pets and then slide down your leg and flip over for belly rubs. She would be a fantastic couch cuddle-bug, after a full day of adventures.

WILLOW, a female Great Pyrenees, and LUNA, a female Great Pyrenees / Husky mix (look at those gorgeous blue eyes!) are a bonded pair.  Their owner had eight dogs, and was moving into the city where she could no longer keep them.  Willow and Luna have been with goats, horses, cats and other dogs.  Both are great indoors and out.  These girls have lived their whole lives together so we would love to find a home that would be able to keep them together.

UPDATE 06/20/2020:  We had a club event at our rescue property today.  A couple of kind guests took Willow and Luna on the hike.  Both girls were wonderful on a leash, calm with all the other dogs and  easy going and friendly with visitors.

COSMO is a large male, Anatolian Shepherd mix.  He loves affection and has become a favorite of our volunteers who get to spend time walking and loving on him.  He walks well on a leash, is good with female dogs, and is a happy boy. Cos entertains himself by tossing a huge ball in the air and pouncing on it as it bounces on the ground. He’s a great guardian, as he not only sees the horizon but also looks to the air to run off  birds and airplanes in his “no fly zone”.  We believe he would do best in a quieter household, where he can enjoy walks and spending time hanging with his person.   Please consider this great boy who deserves to find his forever home.
