KODA is a sweet, playful 2 yr old male Great Pyrenees. Koda has lived with small dogs, and done well with them. He has spent most of his short life outdoors in a kennel, and despite that, he does well in a house, and is content curled up on the couch with his people. Koda walks nicely on a leash, learns quickly, and is protective of his charges. Koda deserves to find a family who will give him love, commitment to training and socialization and a forever home. We’ve only had Koda short time so as we learn more about him, his information will be updated.
HUCKLEBERRY is a 1 1/2 yr old, very large Saint Bernard/Pyrenees/Newfoundland mix. He is quite the sweetheart and has captured the hearts of his caregivers. Huckleberry is a lover, just wanting affection and a lap to crawl on to for pets. He hasn’t had much socialization, or training, so he finds some things scary (ie men in sunglasses, hats) and will bark. He is still a young pup, who doesn’t realize his size, so we’re looking for an adult only, quiet home with a family that has experience with giant breeds, and who will be patient while introducing him to new things. He likes a good cat chase so a cat free home will be required. If you’re looking for a loving, big guy, come meet Huckleberry.
COSMO is a handsome, approx. 2 yr old Anatolian Shepherd mix (maybe Husky or Aussie given his blue eye). He was transferred to us from Spokane County Animal shelter who thought he was fantastic and would have the best opportunity to find a forever home with a LGD breed knowledgeable rescue. Cosmo is a super smart, active and fun loving young boy, who will do best in a life that includes physical and mental activities he can share with his family. Because of his age and intelligence we are looking for an active, dog savvy, family that will include their four-legged companion in all they do.

Freckles is a 6 year old neutered male Saint Bernard mix. Freckles, called Fred for short, is a sweet boy. Freckles is great with other dogs, but probably should not live with an alpha male dog. Freckles needs slow introductions with people and pets and it takes him awhile to get used to his new surroundings. He wants to be close to his person and is very loving. Freckles ideal owner would be kind, consistent and fair when it comes to training. Freckles has been working with our trainer and he feels he is ready for his forever home. Although he has done well with the kids he has met, we are looking for an adult only home for Freckles. He barks a bit, but settles down once he knows you have acknowledged his warnings. He has learned to use the doggy door at his foster home and is housebroken. He likes his toys, and sneaks them outside to play with when no one is looking. He likes walks and walks well on the leash with no reactivity to approaching people or pets. He definitely needs a fenced yard because he loves his outdoor time and sometimes likes to wander and check things out. Poor Freckles has lost several owners and he is looking for a forever home to live out the rest of his days. Freckles is microchipped, utd on shots and neutered. He is currently fostered in Port Orford, OR and we would like to adopt him within 6 hour drive of that area. If you are interested in adopting Freckles please apply at www.saintrescue.org.

ALASKA is a 1 1/2 year old, male Great Pyrenees. He was found as a stray and the owner located, however; as Alaska had escaped a number of times, the owner chose to surrender him to the shelter. Alaska is a sweet guy, playful, and good with other dogs.
NILES is a large, Great Pyrenees male, approximately 3 yrs old. Niles was found as a stray and taken in by the shelter. He has a large wound, on his left hip which the vet diagnosed as either an untreated Hot-spot or road rash. The shelter reports that Niles has good manners and is gentle with care givers and the wound is healing well.
