IVY is a super sweet, approximately 4 yr old female Great Pyrenees.    She originally came to us from Multnomah County Animal Services, after she was found as a stray.  She’s not had an easy go with placements, having been returned a number of times, through no fault of her own.  She is a fantastic girl, and a favorite of our rescue volunteers.  Ivy is playful, fun loving and great with other dogs.  When it comes to cats and chickens, she would rather chase them than guard them so a cat free, chicken free home is in Ivy’s future. Only the best, most committed family will be able to adopt Ivy as she deserves a loving, forever family devoted to giving her the world.

Odin is a handsome, 18 month young, very sweet boy.   Odin does well with cats and other dogs.  Because he has not been around kids previously and hes still a young big playful boy, we would prefer a household with older, respectful children.  Odin has been a terrific guest of Shady Hill and is a loving, cuddly big boy looking and deserving of his forever home.

Macho – 6 months has been abused and very shy – getting better but slow process – neutered, UTD on shots.  Beautiful big puppy that will need a loving, patient family.

Jessie is a beautifully marked, adult, female Great Pyrenees.  Jessie was found as a stray who sadly had a tight rope collar and a lock and wire tie out that she had to chew off to escape. She was also matted and appears to have been abused.  Despite that, she is as sweet as can be, rolls over for belly rubs and wags her tale for a kind word.  She is a loving and active girl deserving of only the most loving family to giver her, her best life.

Bruno (big guy on the right, or in front), is a large, handsome adult male Great Pyrenees who was transferred to us from Wild River Animal Rescue in Gold Beach.  He was rescued, along with his sister, from an incredibly neglectful situation, given terrific vet care and hours of grooming by Wild River. Bruno is an unbelievably wonderful boy despite his sad previous living conditions.  He is sweet,  easy going, and gets along with people, kids and other dogs.  Unfortunately he came to us with a patella injury, requiring surgery which is scheduled.  He’ll be available once surgery and rehab are complete so that we can find his, well deserved, forever home.  Keep an eye out here to see Bruno’s status and availability.
